August 2024 we performed X-Spelled once again at the Leavitt Center. The cast was phenomenally talented! It was fun to see them succeed!

X-Spelled: A New Musical is going to be performed in Pocatello, Idaho August 26, 28, 30, and 31, 2024! Kyra Lambson will be directing the musical production! We look forward to seeing her creativity blossom! Tryouts will be held June 28-29, 2024 at The Leavitt Center.

We are thrilled to see it on the stage again! We are very grateful to be able to perform at the Leavitt Center–home of the debut show! This performance will include updated orchestrations by the magnificent musicians Eliza O’Connor, Dale Belnap, and Milka Rubtsova. Their combined talents synergistically will enhance the viewer’s experience. The added choreography will mesmerize the audience. Be prepared to have a ball at the ball!

Fairy Tale & Fantasy Festival

We held a dinner and show fundraiser for the nonprofit Empower Humanity Summer Theater Camp where X-Spelled was debuted in 2019. X-Spelled: The Deviated Path book was also launched at the event. The event sold out! Tiffany Petersen did an amazing job helping put it together. We also made a blanket and gave it, along with a book, to Lisa, a mother who lost her six-year-old daughter from a horrific home accident the day her little one got back from a princess event.

X-Spelled Royal Academy Coronation

Each woman and girl received a certificate of completion and crown at the end of the event. They also celebrated with cupcakes, clay noses, and a pea store for them to exchanged their earned peas for prizes. They tied a blanket and gave it to one the grandmothers of one of our students who lost her home (and everything else inside it) in a fire several months prior.

X-Spelled Royal Academy

Becoming X-Spelled is a course designed to help females of all ages learn how to break the spells that prevent them from achieving their dreams. The students learn to recognize when they are spellbound. The concepts taught are based on the story of X-Spelled.

In January 2019, I offered women and girls a four-week course at the the Marshal Public Library where I taught them how to become X-Spelled so they could achieve their dreams. I taught them the “TEAR Equation” and gave them kits each week to help them work to improve their thoughts, emotions, and actions. At the end of the course, each student received a crown and certificate of completion.

A NEW COVER!

As part of launching the musical songbook, audiobook, and CD, I created a matching cover for the book! I love the symbolism. A crown of royalty is naturally made when drowning the myths of the pea!

December 2018

Wilcox 4th Grade Book Reading

Lana Borgholthaus read X-Spelled: The Untold Story of the Princess and the Pea to Mrs. Mende’s 4th Grade Class at Wilcox Elementary. It was a huge success. We ending the reading with an X-Spelled party where we decorated green pea cupcakes, made Wickey’s nose with salt clay, and got photos with the author. We also tied a blanket that we gave to a six-year-old girl named Hadley, who has osteogenesis imperfecta. She has had over 90 broken bones in since birth! We sent her a card and book of X-Spelled, along with the blanket. We told her to “Break spells, NOT bones!”

Hadley was excited to get her book and blanket.

Royal Tea Party and Festival Trees

I donated books and made ornaments and treats for the Princess and the Pea table at the Pocatello School District 25 Annual Royal Tea Party. I also donated a decorated tree for the Festival of Trees event. All proceeds went to the school district to support education. I also gave free tickets to attend the X-Spelled Royal Academy where I offered a four-week class at the public library to help mothers (and a great-grandmother) and their (grand)daughters become “X-Spelled” so they could create their own happily ever afters.

Summer 2018

Studio Recording

Over the summer I spent time with Lance Higbee, Paige Ramirez, Katie Johnson, and Matthew Borgholthaus recording the vocal demo track for the musical, X-Spelled. I also recorded the audio book for X-Spelled: The Untold Story of the Princess and the Pea.

So many corrections to be made in the audio book recording!

X-Spelled Book Launch Party

We had an X-Spelled Book Launch Party where we had food, T-Shirt and other hand print art, contests for best medieval pick-up line and character dress-up, as well as a musical program where several of the songs from X-Spelled, the musical, were performed. We also made a blanket for a baby girl who was born with a birth defect.
